The Wanda D. Ewing Gallery

The Union presents five or more exhibitions annually in our Wanda D. Ewing Gallery. Exhibitions serve to showcase works by local and national artists, with emphasis on the diversity of twenty-first century artistic practices and experiences. Learn more about the Wanda D. Ewing Gallery.

The Wanda D. Ewing Commission

The annual Wanda D. Ewing Commission supports the production and presentation of new work by a woman artist of the African diaspora. The commission was established to carry forth Ewing’s legacy and to create a vital cultural opportunity for Greater Omaha, where narratives of women of color are too often absent from the arts discourse. CANCUR Gallery

About our new gallery space

The CANCUR Gallery is part of The Union's Emerging Artists Program to support early-career artists in the Greater Omaha Metro by breaking down common barriers to professional advancement. The gallery is named in honor of the late Thomas Curry who was The Union's first artist to exhibit in this space and a shining example of the spirit of North Omaha.

Artists selected for the program receive dedicated exhibition space, professional curation, and financial support. The Union provides the guidance and resources artists need to build the skills and confidence required to thrive in the professional art world.
