25th & Erskine: CHARLES B. WASHINGTON LIVED HERE served to inform Omahans about the important role Washington played in our city’s ongoing path to racial justice. Located at the civil rights activist’s former home, the public installation acted as a pop-up education site that celebrates Washington’s work in the North Omaha community, memorialized the building that he called home, and highlighted the many ways we still feel his impact today.

25th and Erskine: CHARLES B. WASHINGTON LIVED HERE was part of The Union for Contemporary Art’s Summer Public Art Program. A zine was created in collaboration with Omaha Public Schools and teens from Partnership 4 Kids’ Art University in the summer of 2015 and was on-site for visitors to take to learn more about Mr. Washington.
